- Are reservations required?
Reservations are strongly recommended and easy to make online. Our Airboat Swamp Tours sell out quite often and a reservation is the best way to avoid arriving at our facilty with no availability.
- What makes New Orleans Swamp Tours different than other airboat swamp tours?
New Orleans Swamp Tours are different because they are conducted on our own private swamp with protected wildlife. Our high speed airboats whisk you away from our location which is a former plantation site located next to a 26,000 acre lake that was once agriculture land that was lost from failed levees in the 1920’s. We also have a full-service restaurant and bar in case you want to enjoy a nice meal on the bayou and tour historic grounds.
- Why should I choose New Orleans Swamp Tours?
You should choose New Orleans Swamp Tours because we offer an unforgettable journey into the Barataria Estuary and our airboat swamp tours provide you with life-long memories from your visit to New Orleans. Our shuttle service from most area hotels offers convenience and provides a relaxing way to travel as you enjoy learning more about our unique culture and history. Our Airboat Swamp Tours are not only thrilling but educational.
- How far away is the swamp?
The Mulligan Plantation is 25 miles from Downtown New Orleans/French Quarter. Once out of the city you will ride alongside of the Jean Lafitte National Park where your imagination of your upcoming adventure will really kick in.
- What should I wear?

- Where will you pick me up? Drop me off?
New Orleans Swamp Tours offers transportation service from most New Orleans area hotels. Please call to confirm if our shuttle service is available from your hotel. We will review your pickup time with you when you make your reservation.
- How do we get to the swamp and plantations?
Should you book one of our many tours that include transportation, shuttle service is provided in one of our mini-buses. Our mini-buses are air-conditioned and we book them only to their comfortable capacities. Motorcoach transportation may be arranged for groups requiring transportation. If you have your own vehicle, please see the Directions Page within this website.
- Can you guarantee me an exact return time and location?
Every attempt is made to remain on schedule and to return you to your hotel for the times indicated. We cannot determine the unexpected traffic delays back to the city though. Should you have a special concern regarding your return time, please advise us upon making your reservation and discuss this with your driver.
